The EU’s new data protection rules – The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018 to provide transparency about how companies handle the personal data they receive.
Legal basis
Whenever you contact Guldveterinären, you can be confident that the personal data you provide is only processed to give you a quote and to carry out the treatment you want.
The processing falls under the legal basis “Contract with the data subject”.
No sensitive personal data is recorded.
Personal data is not passed on to third parties, except where Swedish authorities require it or where a clinic you are referred to needs a copy of the medical records for further treatment.
Booking via the contact form. When you send the contact form, a booking assistant on the website suggests times for the visit. Your contact details are not passed on to third parties. The service may process the information outside the EU/EEA, with the safeguards that the General Data Protection Regulation requires. The request is saved in the booking assistant for three months and is then deleted automatically.
Protection against spam. The contact form is protected by a check that it is sent by a person and not by a computer program. To do this, the provider checks your browser/connection but not what you write in the form.
Personal data is only stored in a register kept by Guldveterinären, in accordance with applicable law, and is then deleted.
Contact me if you would like the personal data you have provided to be deleted.
You can read more detail (in Swedish) in Guldveterinärens GDPR kundinformation.
Clients who use Guldveterinären thereby agree that information in the medical records may be passed on to the Swedish Board of Agriculture and/or Swedish Customs.
A report is made if errors or deficiencies are found in the animal’s identity documents or other documentation.
This is done to follow up suspected illegal imports of animals and to prevent the spread of serious diseases.
